In Consommation et Production Durables, students consider and reflect on their lifestyle and the impact it has on global sustainability. Our planet is running out of resources, but the world population continues to grow. If the global population reaches 9.8 billion by 2050, the equivalent of almost three planets will be required to provide the natural resources needed to sustain current lifestyles. We need to change our consumption habits and shift our energy supplies to more sustainable ones if we are going to reduce our consumption levels.
The big ideas that will provide the practical lenses for students' inquiry are:

Linear vs. circular economy
Power, history, and whose labor is extracted
The essential questions that students will explore in this module are:
How do individual fashion consumption and production choices interconnect with global sustainability challenges?
What is the individual's role in transforming global fashion consumption and production patterns?
